All quiet on the Minispace front. An opportunity therefore to post an oldie, from my glorious Mini-past ...

30 Aug '09 - 10:17 Many Happy Returns
Even thought it's a promo-thingy from 'that company in Bavaria'.
But my favorite Mini is in it from minute 1:30 - 1:32, so here goes ...
07 Dec '08 - 15:20 How Very Disappointing
It's been 'live' for a while, but I never bothered to write about till now, due to sheer disappointment. BMW 'MINI' have launched a site and they decided to call it 'Mini Space'. I wonder where they got the name from, considering the fact I have 'Bayerische Motor Werke Munich' visiting my site frequently. Some highly paid marketing-person must have earned a lot of money stealing the name from me. I'm consulting my lawyers on the issue, but I can assure you one thing - BMW are in deep trouble. And that's certainly not got anything to do with the current car-manufacturing crisis or a lawsuit. I think it's more a question of a serious "lack of original ideas" problem going on at BMW.
'Creative use of Space' they call it. Nice euphemism for stealing. Just like anything else concerning the Mini and it's heritage. And I mean the real one, not that afterbirth BMW launched.
Oh well, I wish them all the best with their new site. Shoplifters of the World Unite!
29 May '08 - 22:18 Chelsea Mini Show

Sometimes it's good to have friends at BBC places with a camera (in his case, several, and probably 'a wee bit' more expensive). Look what turned up at the Chelsea Flower Show. It's my car. It's mine! If I had know I would even have bought a ticket ... to a flower show. Finally something to update on my Beatles Mini Page.
Look at all those people surrounding my car not paying any notice whatsoever! Are they mad!? What's wrong with these people?
The Mini was part of a tribute garden for George Harrison at this year's show but didn't make the final grass-cut. Never mind, we still have the picture of how it might have looked.

10 May '08 - 14:42 Shame On Me
Would you believe it, there is actually an IMM (International Mini Meeting) going on right in my backyard - that is to say, Lelystad. A mere 1 hour-and-a-bit drive. In the old days, I knew about these kind of things about 6 years in advance. Now, I have to find out by a friend's phonecall ... will I catch the Mini-bug again? Who knows. More soon.

16 Oct '07 - 19:33 In The Dutch Mountains

I suppose it's just true; only once you've left, you really start to see what you miss. It's just so 'normal' when you live there ....
