08 Jul '06 - Too Hot, Too Long

Those lucky enough to live in California will no doubt smirk when I say that three weeks of 27-34C degrees muggy heat (no idea what that is in Fahrenthingy) in a country with no airconditioning is not my cup of tea. It also shows that I need to extend my wardrobe badly. Because it is not suitable for a twice-daily change in underwear alone. Perhaps I should go back to Scotland, no such problems there. And what else is new? I should have an appartment soon with any luck, after all formalities have been concluded. And I've bought a bike ofcourse ...

That’s well into the nineties, miniman!

Pffff…..

27-34 degrees centigrade is 80-93 degrees fahrenheit. Which is “stupid” hot in my opinion.

Gary - 08 July '06 - 21:18

Gary: I learned that Fahrenheit to celcius is minus 28 devided by 2.
So it would be celcius plus 28 times 2 =fahrenheit
27+28×2=90
34+28×2=124
That would make it “insane” hot wouldn’t it? ;)

Tante neel (URL) - 09 July '06 - 09:44

Tante Neel, I learned similar equations at school but i dont think they are terribly reliable. Body temperature is 37°C (98.6°F), 100°F is about 38°C. Either way, its too hot- although over here it’s raining today. “hoorah”
